Our Putting Green Installation Process
The "Tour Quality" Difference

Each putting green that we install is designed to fit its particular site, meet your specifications and be built using the proven and comprehensive installation process is detailed below.
We’ll also instruct you or your landscape specialist on how to properly maintain your facility to ensure the best performance for the life of the green. That’s Texas Turf & Courts Total Service.
Evaluate The Space
Take measurements to determine the ideal size, drainage paths, placement of any chipping mats, etc.
Excavate The Land
Remove existing sod and shrubbery, dig bunkers, and apply weed killer and weed barriers.
Shape The Green
Once the land has been cleared, workers prepare the soil base with a compacting machine. Some contours and undulations are built into the green at this time. After the soil is compacted, a geotextile sheet is placed over the area to provide stability and integrity to the green.
Add Optional Foam Pad
For target greens and many short game greens, we will add a foam pad to enhance the greens ability to receive shots.
Install Putting Green Turf
Once the base is prepared, the synthetic turf is laid and cut to the specifications of the design.
Add Fringe
For most greens, our team of synthetic turf installation experts will cut, glue and integrate the surrounding fringe.
Adding Infill
With the turf installed, workers will now apply the RQS-2000 infill that will help give the green its soft feel and ensure that it remains solidly in place.
Brushing Infill
We blend the infill into the turf with power brooms to encourage the fibers to stand upright, relax and blossom.
Top Dressing
After the RQS Infill is brushed in, we then add the RQS Top Dressing. This blend of colored acrylic coated quartz is brushed in to give your green the deep rich luster that only Celebrity Courts has.
Rolling The Green
The last step in the process is rolling the green so that we can adjust the speed to your desired level. Once we complete this step, we clean up and let you start practicing.
